Rainwater decoupling: entry and impact of urban pollutants in surface waters

This project is carried out by the research group Aquatic Ecology at the University of Duisburg-Essen in collaboration with the Emschergenossenschaft/Lippeverband. Through this cooperation, the relevant professional skills with regard to rainwater decoupling and ecotoxicology are combined. During the project the entry of urban pollutants, particularly car emitted metals, due to rainwater decoupling into surface waters should be determined. Beyond this, it should be clarified whether these emissions have an impact on aquatic organisms.
